After a stint at Cal State Fullerton, Garcia pursued a professional career overseas, playing in Spain and Mexico. However, a lingering knee injury led him to reconsider his future. 'My dad told me, 'It’s going to end at some point,'' Garcia shared. He eventually retired from professional basketball and transitioned into personal training.

Love Island and Beyond

Garcia's entry into Love Island was serendipitous, sparked by a viral TikTok video. The show not only provided him with a platform but also reconnected him with basketball. Post-show, Garcia participated in the Big3 celebrity game, rubbing shoulders with legends like Ice Cube and Shaq. 'It’s unbelievable. I get to play with people I grew up watching,' Garcia said.
