Bengals' Offensive Trio: Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins Set to Dominate the NFL Season

Explore how the Cincinnati Bengals' star trio aims to lead the team to Super Bowl glory in the 2025 NFL season.

The Cincinnati Bengals are entering the 2025 NFL season with high expectations, largely due to their formidable offensive trio: quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. After a quiet offseason, the Bengals are poised to make significant noise on the field.

A Quiet Offseason for a Loud Regular Season

Unlike previous years, the Bengals' key players have enjoyed a relatively uneventful offseason. There were no dramatic haircuts, no contract disputes, and no major injuries. Instead, Burrow, Chase, and Higgins focused on preparing for what could be one of the most pivotal seasons of their careers.

The Importance of Chemistry

Head coach Zac Taylor emphasized the importance of having all three players healthy and ready to go. "We've got tremendous players. Any time they can be healthy, walk on the field together and continue to put that stress on the other team, it gives us a lot of confidence as a team," Taylor said.

Building on Past Success

Last season, despite individual accolades—Burrow was an MVP finalist, Chase won the receiving triple crown, and Higgins posted a career-high 10 touchdowns—the Bengals missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year. This season, the team is determined to change that narrative.

Financial Commitment to Success

The Bengals have made significant financial investments in their star players. Chase and Higgins each signed long-term contracts worth a combined $276 million, ensuring their presence on the team through 2028. According to OverTheCap.com, the trio will earn a combined $90.4 million this year, with Higgins leading at $35.9 million.

Preseason Performance

Even with a low-key build-up to the season opener against the Cleveland Browns, the trio's chemistry has been evident in the preseason. Linebacker Logan Wilson noted, "As an offense, they're picking up where they left off last year. And I think they've only gotten better from where they were last year at this point in training camp."

Looking Ahead

The Bengals' offensive strategy heavily relies on their passing game. In 2024, they led the league in passing yards per game (272.9) and had the largest share of yards gained by the pass at 74.7%. With their star trio fully integrated and focused, the Bengals are aiming for nothing less than a Super Bowl victory.
